Early Life and Career

WEB Képler Laveran Lima Ferreira, known as Pepe, was born on February 26, 1983, in Maceió, Brazil. Starting his football career in Brazil, he moved to Portugal at the age of 18 to join Marítimo. Pepe's impressive performances at Marítimo caught the attention of FC Porto, where he transferred in 2004.

International Career

Despite being born in Brazil, Pepe opted to represent Portugal at the international level. He made his debut in 2007 and quickly became a mainstay in the Portuguese defense. Pepe has represented Portugal at numerous major tournaments, including the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 2008 and 2012 UEFA European Championships, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was instrumental in Portugal's triumph at Euro 2016, playing a key role in their unbeaten run throughout the tournament.

Club Career

After spending seven successful years at Porto, Pepe joined Real Madrid in 2007. He enjoyed a remarkable 10-year spell at the Spanish giants, winning three UEFA Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, and two Copa del Rey trophies. In 2019, he returned to FC Porto, where he continues to play a vital role in the team's defense at the age of 39.
